I added a new skill set to the stack “WordPress”, which for the ones that know me would not believe, WordPress and its core. You could say, I found my ERC and have a CMS and Blogging application to support this ability.
As we all know WordPress is marketed as a blogging and content management system. This is true, but these abilities are only applications that are written using the WordPress Core and Platform. The problem is, that a small majority of the WordPress community discuss or blog about it.
Innovators, developers and business need to start looking at WordPress not as a CMS or Blogging system, but as an Enterprise Application Development Environment. Matt Does.
Dig deep, look at the API, interfaces, interface, hooks and its skins manager. You will find what you need to assist in cost effective development. And if you are afraid to tell your supervisor or client that you are going to leverage WordPress for the application. Don’t tell them. Consider WordPress a clear label technology. A proven open source library, and tool set for enterprise development.
Word of Caution: When you start using The WordPress core for enterprise development. Only use proven theme and plug-ins. Do you home work, and bring cloud based enterprise application to market very cost effectively.
